Thank you for choosing Inspirational Art Center & Happily Ever After Characters! We are honored to be part of your celebration. Whether you're booking face painting, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, character appearances, mascot performances, paint parties, games, or other entertainment services, our goal is to create a fun, magical, and memorable experience for your guests.

Please review our booking policies below before reserving your event.

Booking Policy

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date and time.

Your event is not confirmed until your deposit has been received and your booking agreement has been accepted.

The remaining balance is due one (1) day prior to your scheduled event. If payment is not received by the due date, your reservation may be canceled and your deposit will be forfeited.

Most services require a one-hour minimum booking.

We recommend booking 3–4 weeks in advance, especially during holidays and peak event seasons, to ensure availability.

Payment Policy

We accept:

- Credit and Debit Cards
- Secure Online Invoices
- Other approved electronic payment methods

Returned payments or chargebacks may result in additional processing fees.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans can change.

- All deposits are non-refundable.
- If you need to reschedule your event, we will do our best to accommodate a new date based on availability.
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before the event may receive a booking credit toward a future event, valid for up to 6 months.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will forfeit all payments made.
- If Inspirational Art Center & Happily Ever After Characters must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive either a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional charge.

Overtime

If our entertainers are available, additional event time may be added during your event.

Additional time will be billed at the current hourly rate for each entertainer and rounded to the nearest 30 minutes.

Weather Policy

Outdoor events require adequate shade or shelter whenever possible.

For the safety of our performers, equipment, and guests, services may be modified, relocated, or postponed due to unsafe weather conditions.

Adult Supervision

Our character performers, face painters, balloon artists, glitter tattoo artists, and event attendants provide entertainment services only and are not childcare providers or babysitters.

A parent, legal guardian, or designated responsible adult must remain on-site and is responsible for supervising all children throughout the event.

During larger or busy events, we strongly encourage parents to remain nearby to assist younger children and help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

Face Painting Policy

We use professional cosmetic-grade face paints that are FDA-compliant and designed specifically for skin.

For health and safety reasons, we cannot paint anyone with:

- Open wounds or cuts
- Eye infections
- Severe skin irritation
- Signs of a contagious illness

Please notify us of any known allergies or skin sensitivities before services begin.

Balloon Twisting Policy

Children under the age of three should always be supervised while handling balloons due to potential choking hazards.

We are not responsible for popped balloons due to normal wear, weather conditions, or rough play after they have been distributed.

Glitter Tattoo Policy

We use professional cosmetic-grade glitter tattoo products designed for temporary skin application.

Please notify us of any known skin allergies before application.

Character & Mascot Policy

To preserve the magic and create the best experience for every child:

- Please do not ask performers to remove costume pieces or reveal their identity.
- Character and mascot performers may require short breaks during extended appearances or extreme temperatures.
- Please treat all performers, costumes, props, and equipment with kindness and respect.
- Aggressive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior toward our staff may result in services ending early without refund.

Paint Party Policy

Paint parties begin promptly at the scheduled start time.

Late arrivals may miss portions of the guided instruction so the class can remain on schedule.

All supplies included in your selected package are provided for use during the event unless otherwise specified.

Children under five years old should have an adult available to assist if needed.

Child Safety

The safety of every guest is important to us.

To ensure a fun experience for everyone:

- Children should wait patiently for their turn.
- Running, pushing, climbing, or rough play around entertainers or equipment is not permitted.
- Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
- Our staff reserves the right to pause or discontinue services if unsafe conditions arise.

Travel

Travel within our standard service area is included.

Additional travel fees may apply outside our regular service area and will always be discussed before your booking is confirmed.

Equipment & Damage

Clients are responsible for any intentional or negligent damage to company costumes, props, easels, tables, art supplies, equipment, or other business property caused by guests during the event.

Photography

We love sharing magical memories!

Unless otherwise requested in writing before your event, Inspirational Art Center & Happily Ever After Characters may use photographs taken during public events for promotional purposes on our website and social media.

If you prefer your event not be photographed, simply let us know before your event begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance. Holiday weekends and popular characters often book several months ahead.

Can I add services after I've booked?
Absolutely! Additional characters, face painters, balloon artists, glitter tattoos, games, or paint party options may be added based on availability.

Can I extend my event?
Yes! If our entertainers are available, additional time may be added at our current hourly rates.

Do you travel?
Yes! We proudly serve the Central Coast and surrounding communities. Travel fees may apply outside our standard service area.

What happens if it rains?
We'll work with you to relocate indoors whenever possible or discuss rescheduling options if weather creates unsafe conditions.

Are your face paints safe?
Yes. We use high-quality professional face paints specifically designed for cosmetic use.

Do your performers stay in character?
Absolutely! Our character performers remain in character whenever possible to create an unforgettable experience.

Can adults participate too?
Of course! We love entertaining guests of all ages.
